Manager, Financial Reporting

Our client is adding a Manager, Financial Reporting to their small but growing team. This individual will be the right-hand to the CFO - responsible for all aspects of financial reporting across multiple business lines. The main responsibilities will include the reporting of periodic results along with variance analysis, managing the cash forecast and regulatory reporting. In addition, you will be implementing new and improved processes, liaising with auditors, preparing 52-109 documentation, and preparing annual financial statements including drafting notes and statement of cash flow.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Chartered Accountant with some experience in a financial reporting role, where they have gained an understanding of IFRS. Valuable experience includes the ability to write memorandums on accounting issues and draft notes to financial statements. Exposure to oil and gas or natural resources business is preferred. Finally, French or Russian language skills are definite assets for this position.
