Plant Controller

Our client (large brand name CPG Company) is looking for a Plant Controller – ideal for any candidate who lives in Trenton/Belleville/Peterborough or Cobourg.

Reporting to the Director of Finance – Operations, this position will provide hands-on financial leadership to the facility and be responsible for all accounting/finance related duties.  The role works closely with the operations team to drive growth and improve profitability at the plant level.

Specific duties:

• Prepare accurate monthly & Annual plant financial operating statements and variance analysis
• Process journal entries for month-end closing as required
• Co-ordinate and maintain costing for all products
• Plant Analysis along with monthly / annual budgeting information

The ideal candidate must have an accounting designation (CMA or CGA) with minimum 3 years of progressive business accounting and costing experience.  Knowledge or working experience within the food or beverage industry is considered a strong asset.
