Director of Finance

Are you a well-rounded finance professional who takes a practical approach to solving issues?  Do you enjoy leading a team and have a strong ability to motivate and drive results?  Are you looking for a role with CFO potential? Our downtown client is recruiting for a Director of Finance.  This role will manage a team and be accountable for all elements of financial reporting and analysis for this niche player in the Investment industry.  The ability to develop new value added reporting and metrics will be a key element of responsibility. You add value and share your ideas willingly to help improve and maximize productivity and efficiency. You bring strong technical accounting skills including knowledge of IFRS.

Candidates must have a recognized accounting designation (CA, CPA, CMA or CGA) in addition to 5-10 yrs. progressive experience ideally in the Financial Services industry. The ability to partner with other functional areas and communicate and present information to the executive leadership is also essential. This is a collaborative hands-on environment so candidates should be willing to roll up their sleeves and work with detailed information when necessary.
