Senior Internal Auditor - Contract

Our downtown Toronto financial services client is looking for an Internal Auditor for a 6+ month contract position.  The successful candidate for this position will be entrusted with review, testing and re-documentation/remediation work surrounding their internal audit function specifically in their investments/asset management space.

Applicants for this role must have extensive understanding of the capital markets industry space and possess the following skills / work experience:

• Accounting designation (CA/CPA preferred along with a CIA designation)
• Extensive Internal Audit/risk management/SOX experience
• In depth knowledge of capital markets (i.e. settlement of trading in derivatives, equities, fixed income vehicles, etc.) and work experience in a back office capacity within financial services
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to adapt quickly and work flexibly in a fast moving environment
• Strong computer skills especially with MS Visio, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
